Our Catfish Guide Boats
People frequently have questions about our catfish guide boat and the gear we use on our guided catfishing trips at North Texas Catfish Guide Service before booking with us for their guided catfishing trip on one of the lakes in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
We have multiple boats and guides in our operation and all of them are large, well maintained boats that offer a dry comfortable ride for your fishing trip.
Here’s some details on a few of the boats we use.
Xpress HD22CC Center Console
Chad Ferguson fishes from an Xpress HD22CC center console aluminum bay boat powered by a Yamaha 115 four stroke outboard motor.
Our Xpress HD22CC catfish guide boat is 22 feet long and nice and wide with plenty of floor space to stretch your legs out and enjoy yourself for the day. Unlike many other guides out there we are not going to take 4 or 5 people and try to cram them into a 16 or 18 foot boat for the day like a bunch of sardines.
We chose this for our guided catfishing trips not only because it is big and wide and capable of handling rough water but also because it is very safe. The center console bay boat allows us to fish in the roughest of water when most other people have to head in for the day.
We also use this boat because it is such a good fit for the catfishing techniques we use for putting fish in the boat. Whether it is drift fishing in deep water for trophy blue catfish, anchored up at night for flathead catfish, slinging punch bait for channel catfish or fishing in inches of water for spring blue catfish this boat is capable of handling it all.
You can expect a dry comfortable ride and a safe day of fishing when on your guided catfishing trip with North Texas Catfish Guide Service and Chad Ferguson.
The boat is outfitted with the best equipment and gear available including the Humminbird 1198c sonar fishfinder with down imaging, side imaging, broadband sonar and GPS as well as Navionics charts for navigation and fish finding.
