I JUST REALIZED I NEVER PROPERLY INTRODUCED THE NEW 2026 SEAARK PRO GUIDE.
In my defense…
I’ve been too busy getting catfish slime all over it. ?
This is the 2026 26′ SeaArk Pro Guide Patriot I’m running this year with North Texas Catfish Guide Service on Eagle Mountain Lake.
Apparently, I completely skipped the normal new-boat routine where you clean everything up, take a bunch of pretty pictures, and show everybody.
I went straight to:
PUT PEOPLE IN IT.
GO FISHING.
GET IT DIRTY.
Which is probably a more appropriate introduction anyway.
Why I Run a 26′ SeaArk Pro Guide
After 29 years of guiding, I’ve learned that a guide boat and a fishing boat aren’t necessarily the same thing.
This is my OFFICE.
It has to run almost every day. It has to comfortably handle families and bigger groups. It has to give everybody room to fish while still giving me enough space to do my job.
And when six rods go down at once, I need enough room to run around without throwing somebody’s grandmother overboard. ?
That’s one of the biggest reasons I run a 26′ SeaArk Pro Guide.
There’s a TON of room.
Whether I’ve got a couple of anglers or a bigger group aboard, there’s room for people, rods, coolers, and gear without everybody standing on top of each other.
When the catfish start flying, that space gets important FAST.
How My 2026 SeaArk Pro Guide Is Rigged
This boat is rigged to WORK.
The 2026 SeaArk Pro Guide Patriot is powered by a Suzuki DF250A Stealth Outboard and equipped with a Minn Kota Ulterra trolling motor and Power-Pole Blade shallow-water anchors.
For electronics, I’m running Garmin ECHOMAP Ultra 2 units in 12″ and 16″ sizes along with Garmin LVS34 LiveScope.
The 16-inch Garmin is basically a television for watching catfish make bad decisions. ?
The rest of the setup includes Pro-Guide lithium batteries, Cornfield Fishing Mounts, and Smackdown rod holders.
It’s a lot of equipment.
But none of it is there to look cool at the boat ramp.
Every piece has a job.
Control the boat.
Find fish.
Stay on fish.
Cover water.
And make my job easier when things go from completely peaceful to my flip-flops smoking in about 12 seconds.
Built for Guided Catfishing on Eagle Mountain Lake and Beyond
Ultimately, everything about my 2026 SeaArk Pro Guide setup comes back to the people fishing with me.
My clients range from experienced fishermen to families with kids who may be catching their first catfish. I want everyone to have plenty of room, be comfortable and enjoy their time on Eagle Mountain Lake.
That’s what I wanted out of this boat:
BIG.
COMFORTABLE.
DEPENDABLE.
And built around actually taking people fishing.
The official introduction might be a few months late, but I think we’ve finally got enough catfish slime on it to make it official.
MEET THE NEW OFFICE.

2026 SeaArk Pro Guide Photos
What boat is North Texas Catfish Guide Service running in 2026?
I’m guiding from a 2026 26-foot SeaArk Pro Guide Patriot, powered by a Suzuki DF250A Stealth outboard. It’s the boat I fish customers from almost every day on Eagle Mountain Lake and other Dallas–Fort Worth lakes.
Why a 26-foot boat for catfish guiding?
Room. When six rods go down at once, I need space to move without anybody getting knocked around. At 26 feet, the Pro Guide gives families and bigger groups room to spread out, fight fish, and swap spots without climbing over each other.
How is the Pro Guide Patriot rigged?
It’s rigged to work, not to look good at the ramp. It has a Minn Kota Ulterra trolling motor, Power-Pole Blade shallow-water anchors, Garmin ECHOMAP Ultra 2 12-inch and 16-inch displays, and Garmin LiveScope Plus with the LVS34 transducer. The screens sit on Cornfield Fishing Gear mounts, Pro-Guide lithium batteries run the electronics, and SmackDown Catfishing rod holders line the deck.
Is the boat good for kids, families, and first-timers?
Yes, and that’s a big part of why I chose it. The wide, stable deck and extra room make it easier for kids, older anglers, and first-timers to stay comfortable all trip. I cover how we fish and how to move around the boat before we start.
Can the boat fish shallow water?
Yes. The Power-Pole anchors let me stop quietly on shallow flats and shoreline cover, then pull up and move fast when the fish do. The Ulterra keeps us on deeper ledges and channel edges when that’s where the fish are. We run the SeaArk Pro Guide in a few inches of water chasing shallow water catfish.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just a valid Texas fishing license, clothes for the weather, and any food or drinks you want. I provide the rods, reels, bait, and tackle. The full gear list is on the catfish gear page.
How do I book a trip on the Pro Guide Patriot?
Check availability and book at txcatfishguide.com/book, or call 817-522-3804.
How many people can fish on the Pro Guide Patriot?
Up to six people fish comfortably on the 26-foot Pro Guide. If your group is bigger, mention it when you book and I’ll see what the schedule and boat assignment allow.
