The channel catfish bite has been good to excellent the past week and will only get better from here. I expect within the next week to two weeks we will be in some of the best channel catfishing of the year. This bite will typically hold steady through the summer. We are catching channe catfish on punch bait primarily.

The past few days have been good but the best bite has been during the day. The mornings have started off slow and the fishing gets progressively better through the day and into the evenings. There is a magic time during the day when the bite fires up and things really get good.

I have some June opening still available and plenty of availability in July and August as well. I am getting a lot of calls from people wanting to do flathead trips this summer so I think I may offer these again this year as well. I am also going to head out and do some scouting on the river here in a few weeks and may do some river trips there year as well.
